Nationally Recognised Training

Nationally Recognised Training is heavily regulated throughout Austraila to ensure quality and consistency of training courses. Floristry Training that is Nationally recognised means that the course will be accepted and acknowledged by the floristry industry and governing bodies nationwide.

Local Australian Students may be eligible for Government subsidies and VET loans for some course fees. Registered Training Organisations will have all the required information about their fees, and they can help you find out if you’re eligible for government subsidies.

SFL20115 – Certificate II in Floristry (Assistant)

Certificate II in Floristry is a great starting point if you are interested in a Floristry career. Certificate II in Floristry will teach you the creative skills for working in many floristry businesses such as retail, studios and online stores.
This Nationally Recognised qualification also teaches you the necessary practical skills such as customer service, handling and safe working procedures, general housekeeping and the knowledge to prepare, store and display floristry stock.

Course outcomes may include:

  • Florist studio assistant.

SFL30115 – Certificate III in Floristry

Certificate III in Floristry is usually completed during the course of an Australian Floristry Apprenticeship but, it can also be undertaken without an apprenticeship making it more flexible for people already in full-time employment.
The Certificate III in Floristry is often required if you intend on studying further with Certificate IV and the Diploma.  The focus of Cert III is on the advanced skills required to succeed in the world of floristry from designing and creating arrangments to quotations and sales.

SFL40115 – Certificate IV in Floristry

The Certificate IV in Floristry will prepare you for running a small floristry business and further develop your skills in floristry design, sales skills and complex construction techniques.
Cert IV in Floristry combines both practical and theory components covering a broad range of administrative and technical skills.

On the successful completion of this course, you will be confident in running the daily operations of a florist store and you will possess the skills to help you branch out into specialised areas of floristry such as floral event management and weddings.

SFL50115 – Diploma of Floristry Design

The Diploma is the final step in the nationally recognised training for floristry. The Diploma of Floristry design focuses on the advanced construction, floristry design and business management skills which will bring you to the highest level in the floristry industry.

Completion of this Diploma will give you a range of creative, specialised technical, conceptual and team leadership skills to successfully run a Floristry business, manage a team or even become a Floral Designer.
